Built to last
Done right where you can't see
The finish is what you see. The base, steel and joints underneath are what keep it level and strong for years to come. Here's what goes into every slab we pour.
- A thoroughly compacted subgrade
The soil is graded to drain and compacted before anything goes on it, so the slab sits on a stable base. - Rebar, never wire mesh
Steel rebar set on chairs at mid-depth, where it actually strengthens the slab. Many contractors use cheaper wire mesh that ends up in the dirt. - Expansion joints against existing concrete
New concrete is separated from your driveway, foundation or walks, so the two can move without cracking each other. - Control joints and proper curing
Saw-cut joints guide where concrete naturally cracks, and a curing compound goes on the day of the pour.
